Cancerbane is a mythical creature in Greek mythology. It is often depicted as a multi-headed canine watching over the gates of Hades. In some myths, Cancerbero owns three heads, while in others it can have a maximum of nine heads. The word "cancerbero" is additionally used to refer to a fierce and unyielding sentinel.
